Henry A2020-02-28Great sandwiches for our lunch Several friends recommended Deli Works for great sandwiches, soups and salads. I had been thinking about how good a hot Rueben sandwich would taste on a cold winter day, so my wife and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time. The dining area was neat and clean, with plenty of tables. We read the menu board located at the ordering counter and were pleased to see a Rueben sandwich on their list. We each ordered a Rueben with one order of French fries to share, plus a couple of fountain drinks. Our lunches came to our table straight from the kitchen and were nice and hot. The Ruebens tasted as good as they looked. I think if the Olympics had a Rueben sandwich event, these would be gold medalists. The French fries were also quite good. We plan to return and try some soups and salads. I understand Deli Works has been in business for 41 years. It’s good to see a locally owned business succeed for such a long time.Verified
Diana G2019-08-20Lunch This place is a little gem deli in Fort Collins. The buffalo burger was outstanding, they also serve grass grown beef, outstanding. The owner was a delightful, warm and friendly person. The staff was friendly and fun.. I strongly recommend this deli as the go to place to eat. I also had their banana cake, WOW.Verified
Barbagrigia2019-01-13First Rate Sandwiches I first went to Deli Works many years ago and was impressed with the way the family prepared excellent hand-made sandwiches. The spicy Italian beef sandwich was my favorite since I couldn't get anything like that anywhere in Northern Colorado. I recently had the opportunity to go there for lunch and found that sandwich was no longer on the menu. The ladies who make the sandwiches listened to my gushing about how good it was and how much I liked it. They remembered offering it and said they would put something together for me and THEY DID IT. Outstanding customer service. The vegan in our small group found a sandwich on the menu that could be made without cheese and she was thrilled. I don't know why anyone goes past this small shop to patronize a nationwide chain of mass-produced food. I would gladly support this modest family run shop and the terrific people who staff it.Verified

The inside decor is aging and in need of remodeling. That said, the sandwiches were quite good and made fresh; in fact, our order for two sandwiches for a late lunch one weekday took almost 20 minutes to come out to our table. The counter service staff member was gruff and not helpful at all when we placed our order at the counter. As a first-time customer, it was unclear if food would be brought to our table - we were never asked for a name or if we had any questions about the menu, etc. - and drinks were self serve. Although we enjoyed our food, the service was lacking, which reflected only an Average rating for us here in Trip Advisor.
